Welcome

A number of parents have asked if I'd continue writing a blog now that the USA tour is over. Obviously there's not going to be so much news on a daily basis and there's no natural structure for posting, as there was on a tour. But I do think it's a good idea to look occasionally into various aspects of what we do and try to make the music programme, both in the Cathedral and at the School, more accessible to parents, and indeed the staff.

Music at the Cathedral has a high profile, but to those of you close to it, it may seem rather obscure; we rehearse in private and perform almost out of sight - there are few occasions when you get to see close-up what goes on or are given insights into the music we sing or why we sing it.

This blog will look - on an occasional basis - at things which may be of interest to you. It may also be a way of communicating some factual data about schedules and forthcoming events, though we will continue to feed those into the Headmaster's weekly newsletter - please keep using the newsletter as your primary source of information.
